continues. Nicky English has stepped down at Chipstead (maybe eyeing up the vacancy at Merstham) and Alan Pook and Danny Bloor have resigned as joint-managers
at Worthing.

No love lost between us and the ex-Wortghing management team!

Fetcham Lad wrote:No maybe about it. He was quoted in the press last week saying that he really wanted it...although I heard he's interested in Chertsey as well. Other vacancies are Walton & Hersham and Dulwich Hamlet -although they may have appointed a player as a p/m. |

Mertsham Fc new manager is Graeme Banyard from Banstead Ath

Just heard the same news, imo a very poor decision and one which will take Merstham fc back to the combined counties.

Well, well..... | ||
|
....just shows nothing can be taken for granted as the smart money seemed to on Lyndon Buckwell.
So that means that the Banstead job is now up for grabs, and I hear that Chipstead may be appointing shortly.... |

Graeme Banyard a great choice,a very approachable,likeable guy.Similar in approach to Mickey Sullivan be it with players,supporters,tells it as it is,and
listens.In my opinion gone are the days of Managers with past failures at this level moving job to job,time for a new breed,with fresh ideas that can work to
realistic budgets.Aevans I am sure you will be proven wrong with your statement,Merstham are a forward looking club with a great committee,who are also
friendly to everyone they meet.
|
|||
Levred Moler |
Indeed.... | ||
|
...no doubts that Graeme is a very enthusiastic and committed fella who do the job justice.
Hopefully Syd will be able to rest easy now....tho doubtless feelin a bit guilty at depriving Banstead of their manager! |

I certainly think that it might be worth a wager to see who does the better job, Mick or Graeme. Seeing as they are mates, maybe they will have a private bet.

On to the Chipstead Managers position: loop do you still think its Brian Adamson or Mickey Stephens ?

Only time will tell Peter who is right, stay in touch.
I don't think its worth a wager bomaya, Banyard will never match what Mick has done. I will have a wager that Banyard isn't there for over 1 season, any takers? |

You may lose your money, MFC have only had 3 x 1st team managers in the last 19 years.

Headly, will stick to my original predictions,no inside knowledge I am afraid, thought it would generate a couple of guesses from others but not so far. Would add Bob Langford in to one of them, maybe as Casuals manager? |

Aevans,having checked out your previous posts regarding the Leatherhead Managerial process,the only thing you have been positive about is the Fitz's.I personally do not think you do them any favours,reason why:Because when they did not get the job,you post negatives about assistant manager ,coaches.Similarly regarding Merstham a New manager is appointed,your first post is in the negative i.e Relegation,Manager will not last a season,I am prepared to put my money where my mouth is,£200 to charity that Graeme Banyard is still Merstham Manager May 2010.Apologies to regular Lip posters for bringing this up on your site. |

Peter i am also willing to put my money where my mouth is, so the bet is Banyard not to be at Merstham fc come May 23rd 2010, £200? I was hoping to benefit personally but if you want the money to go to charity thats fine by me. Also to make myself clear on the Mick Sullivan appointment i am totally behind the clubs decision to appoint mick. I was behind the Fitz's to get the job but they didn't get and are history, so i am now getting behing Mick and his team! |

Aevans sorry for the delay in replying,but being a bank holiday I've had Family to visit,and the usual things that need to be done around the house.Lost me Bottle,never,I have great faith in the Merstham product,slow but sure,stay within your means,Friendly Family Club that welcomes all,similar to Leatherhead now.A few people who use the internet are attempting to derail the reign of Graeme Banyard before he has even started,what they should understand is that Managers move on,Players move on,I believe that a new era is underway at this level,gone are the days of Swindlehurst,Langford,Garland,time for a new model of hungry but approachable Manager,aka Banyard,Sullivan,if you want to contact me telephone 07914100656 BET ON. |
